Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated sous chef to join our culinary team with high ambitions. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking dishes to the highest standards, ensuring consistency and quality. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for culinary arts to develop their skills within a professional kitchen environment.

Duties

Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes in accordance with restaurant standards and recipes
Assist in the organisation and management of specific sections within the kitchen
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene at all times
Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering ingredients as needed
Ensure all food preparation areas are kept clean, organised, and compliant with health regulations
Support junior kitchen staff through training and mentorship where applicable

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly within a professional kitchen setting but most of all passion and drive to produce the best.
Previous similar restaurant experience is essential
Excellent skills in culinary techniques across various cuisines
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods
Good organisational skills with attention to detail
Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Serving experience is a plus but not essential; a genuine passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences is vital
