Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting the accounts department with various administrative and financial tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial record-keeping.

Previous experience within a Construction environment would be preferred

Responsibilities

Assist with processing accounts payable and receivable transactions using accounting software such as Sage
Enter financial data accurately into relevant systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance with company policies
Manage supplier invoices, purchase orders
Maintain organised records of financial documents and correspondence in preparation for VAT and HMRC
Liaise with the Bookeeper
Setting up new supplier accounts
Allocating costings to each project
Keeping records for Chas & Constructionline, training matrix's

Qualifications

Proven experience with accounting software including Sage
Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail
Knowledge of accounts payable processes and basic financial principles
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Previous experience working within a construction environment is preferred
Ability to work independently whilst contributing effectively within a team environment

Pay: From £14.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
