Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Store Manager specialising in blinds and home improvements to lead our retail outlet in. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, driving sales, managing staff, and ensuring exceptional customer service. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with strong leadership and organisational skills to contribute to the growth of our business while delivering outstanding home improvement solutions to our customers.

Duties

Lead and supervise the store team, ensuring high levels of motivation and performance
Manage daily store operations, merchandising, and visual presentation
Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed targets
Provide expert advice on blinds and home improvement products to customers
Organise staff rotas and delegate tasks effectively.
Maintain excellent phone etiquette and customer communication standards
Analyse sales data and prepare reports for senior management
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the store environment
Foster a welcoming environment that encourages repeat business and customer loyalty
Book and attend appointments to measure and sell products in customer homes
Deal with all levels of customer enquiries and resolve any potential issues from start to finish

Skills

Proven management experience within retail and must be in a related sector -Blinds, home improvements or similar industries.
A solid understanding and previous experience with blinds and window coverings will be a distinct advantage (although training can be provided for exceptional candidates with transferable skills).
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and supervise a team effectively
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently under pressure
Experience in sales management, merchandising, and customer service excellence
Sound administrative skills including reporting, and record keeping
Ability to utilise organisational tools such as scheduling software and point-of-sale systems
Strong phone etiquette and professional demeanour at all times.

This role is ideal for a proactive individual eager to lead a vibrant store (opening soon) within a specialised retail environment dedicated to enhancing customers’ homes through quality blinds and home improvements. This will be a new store - the opportunities are real and the right candidate can really grow within the business.

**Please note - this is a retail position, and as such, you will work 5 days from 7 which will include Saturday working **

Pay: £27,500.00-£40,000.00 per year
