Rotatech Products is a growing ecommerce business supplying chainsaw parts, chipper parts, forestry products, machinery consumables, lubricants, PPE, industrial blades, and related products to trade and professional customers across the UK and Europe.

We are part of Saturn Machine Knives Ltd, a long-established manufacturing and supply business serving industries such as forestry, landscaping, recycling, wood processing, confidential shredding, and machinery maintenance.

We are now using AI heavily across the business to create new opportunities, improve product data, generate content, automate workflows, improve customer experience, and grow online sales. The challenge is no longer finding opportunities — it is getting them implemented quickly and accurately on our Shopify website.

We are looking for a practical, detail-focused ecommerce person to join the team and help remove that bottleneck

Shopify Developer & Digital Marketing Executive

About the role

Rotatech is looking for an experienced Shopify Developer and Digital Marketing Executive to help develop our ecommerce platform and support growth across international markets.

This is a hands-on role combining Shopify development, ecommerce optimisation and digital marketing. The successful candidate will improve website functionality, performance and customer experience while also contributing to wider ecommerce growth activity.

They will understand how Shopify, customer journeys, product feeds, digital advertising, localisation and conversion rate optimisation work together to drive profitable online sales.

Shopify development

Responsibilities will include:

Develop, customise and maintain Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
Build and update sections, templates, landing pages and reusable components.
Work with Shopify Online Store 2.0, metafields, metaobjects and JSON templates.
Improve product pages, collection pages, navigation, search, filters and product-finder journeys.
Support Shopify Markets, international domains, subfolders, languages, currencies and catalogues.
Manage Shopify apps, third-party integrations and relevant APIs.
Troubleshoot theme, app, product, inventory and market-related issues.
Improve website speed, mobile usability and Core Web Vitals.
Support technical SEO, structured data, redirects, canonicals and crawlability.
Test and deploy changes safely using staging themes and version-control processes.
Work with external developers and technology providers where specialist input is required.

Digital marketing and international ecommerce

Responsibilities will include:

Support digital marketing activity across international markets.
Contribute to PPC campaigns across Google Ads, Google Shopping, Performance Max and Microsoft Ads.
Support paid and organic social-media activity across relevant platforms.
Create and optimise campaign landing pages within Shopify.
Support SEO across products, collections, landing pages and content.
Help manage Google Merchant Center feeds and market-specific product destinations.
Support email marketing, segmentation and automated flows through Klaviyo or a similar platform.
Ensure campaigns direct customers to the correct market, language, catalogue and website experience.
Research competitors, customer behaviour and market opportunities.
Monitor traffic, sales, conversion rate, ROAS, customer-acquisition cost and profitability.
Use performance data to recommend improvements across campaigns, content and customer journeys.
Support localised content and the rollout of new international markets.

Essential skills and experience

Strong hands-on Shopify development experience.
Strong knowledge of Liquid, HTML and CSS.
Good working knowledge of JavaScript.
Experience with Shopify Online Store 2.0.
Experience managing Shopify themes, apps and integrations.
Good understanding of ecommerce UX, CRO and mobile-first development.
Experience improving site speed and Core Web Vitals.
Good understanding of technical SEO.
Practical ecommerce digital marketing experience.
Knowledge of PPC, SEO, social media and email marketing.
Experience using GA4 and Google Search Console.
Strong commercial awareness and analytical ability.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Desirable experience

Shopify Markets and international ecommerce.
Google Ads, Merchant Center and product feeds.
Klaviyo and Google Tag Manager.
Meta advertising and organic social media.
Screaming Frog, SEMrush, Hotjar or Microsoft Clarity.
APIs, webhooks, Git or ecommerce integrations.
Inventory or order-management systems.
Shopify Plus or headless Shopify.

About you

You will be comfortable combining development, digital marketing and ecommerce performance.

You should be able to move between Shopify code, customer journeys, campaign landing pages and performance data, while keeping a clear focus on conversion, sales and profitability.

You will be proactive, commercially minded and capable of taking projects from idea through to testing and launch.
