Full job description

We are a Dry-Lining construction company based in Rochdale and are looking for a full time, competent Office Administrator to carry out reception duties, general office admin and purchasing.

The role will require excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and a confident telephone manner as you will need to greet and direct callers by answering telephone calls as well as answering queries, emails and various other tasks. You will need to be self-motivated with a pro-active approach and have experience of working under pressure and meeting deadlines. Excellent computer and data inputting skills is necessary and the ability to use Microsoft office, Outlook, Word & Excel.

What will you be doing?

Your main roles and responsibilities will include:

Answering and redirecting telephone calls to the office and site based staff
Meet and greet visitors
General typing (letters, quotations, invoices etc…), photocopying, scanning and filing
Setting up enquiries and downloading documentation onto our computer system
Post – incoming and outgoing
Placing orders with suppliers and checking order confirmations
Maintaining Excel records with all prices
Chasing deliveries as required
Liaising with staff to arrange material deliveries
Managing the equipment hire list
Ordering and maintaining adequate levels of stationery and PPE
Assisting inputting purchase invoices onto the accounts system
What do you need?
A confident personality and excellent communication skills
A strong administration background with an excellent eye for detail
A confident telephone manner and good telephone etiquette
To be able to prioritise your work and keep to deadlines
Pride yourself on accuracy and your attention to detail
To be responsive, proactive and able to work on own initiative
Be confident and used to working in a very busy, often challenging environment
Have strong IT skills and be confident with Outlook, Word and Excel
Good organisational skills
Good arithmetic

Required experience:

Admin office work: min 2 years

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £22,568.00-£26,436.80 per year

Experience:

Administrative: 3 years (preferred)
