Office Administrator (Temporary – Part Time)

Joy Lane & Co Ltd

Location: Dorchester, DT1 1DE

Hours: 25 hours per week, 9 to 2, Monday to Friday

Salary: £12.71 per hour

Duration: 2 weeks (with possibility of extension)

Notice: Start ASAP

About the Role
We are looking for a friendly, organised Office Administrator to support the smooth running of our Dorchester office. This is a temporary part‑time position (25 hours per week). The ideal candidate will be confident handling reception duties, admin tasks, and general office support.

Key Responsibilities

Answering calls and taking messages
Handling client and internal enquiries
Welcoming clients and offering refreshments
Preparing tea/coffee for the director when required
Liaising with suppliers and scanning documents to the CRM
Ordering and maintaining office and stationery supplies
Managing office and kitchen purchases
Coordinating office maintenance
Handling post, couriers, and document scanning
Managing office phone systems and call transfers
Organising and maintaining files
Sending monthly Expense Guides to new clients
Supporting Health & Safety and Fire Safety tasks
General admin and ad‑hoc duties as required

Skills & Experience Required

Previous experience in an administrative or reception role
Strong communication skills and a professional telephone manner
Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask
Confident using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Ability to learn new systems (CRM experience beneficial)
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Friendly, approachable, and client‑focused
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to handle confidential information appropriately

Pay: £12.71 per hour
