About the Role

We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and experienced Deputy Manager to support the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care within our Supported Living Services for adults with learning disabilities and behaviours that may challenge.

Working alongside the Registered Manager, you will play a key role in leading and developing a team that empowers individuals to live independently, achieve their goals, and enjoy fulfilling lives within their local communities. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Support Worker, Team Leader, or Deputy Manager looking to further their career in social care.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the service with the ability to run the service in their absence.
Lead, motivate, and develop a team of Support Workers to deliver outstanding care and support.
Ensure services are delivered in line with CQC regulations, company policies, and best practice guidance.
Promote positive behaviour support approaches and person-centred planning.
Support individuals with complex needs, learning disabilities, autism, and behaviours that may challenge.
Assist with recruitment, induction, supervision, and staff development.
Monitor quality standards and contribute to service improvement plans.
Manage staffing rotas, sickness, and absence where required.
Build positive relationships with families, healthcare professionals, local authorities, and external agencies.
Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed and all concerns are reported appropriately.
Support with medication management, risk assessments, care planning, and audits.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Essential:

Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities and behaviours that challenge minimum 2 years
Previous supervisory experience within health and social care.
Strong knowledge of person-centred care and positive behaviour support.
Understanding of safeguarding, Mental Capacity Act, and CQC standards.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
Ability to lead by example and inspire others.
Flexibility to participate in on-call duties when required.
Full UK driving licence
Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or working towards) minimum.
