Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven van sales professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for customer service and a proven track record in achieving sales targets. This role involves engaging with clients, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions to enhance their experience with our products or services.

Our product range is bread and cake, our customers are convenience stores situated across Scotland.

The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the balance between maximum sales and minimal returns from our customers, whilst being accountable for all stock issued.

You will be responsible for the management of ten established routes which are covered over a fortnightly period.

This position requires full in-person attendance and a daily start time of 06:15. Working days are Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work when needed. Overnight stay will be required once a fortnight however accommodation etc will be paid for by the company.

Candidates will have a full and clean UK Driving License.

Candidates will be based within a 10 mile radius of Cumbernauld

Duties

Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients to drive sales growth.
Present product offerings to clients, demonstrating their value and benefits.
The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring maximum sales from our customers whilst being responsible for stock issued.
Identify potential clients and understand market trends.
You will be responsible for ten established routes which are covered over a fortnightly rota.
Our customers are mainly convenience stores located across Scotland.

Experience

Previous experience in a van sales role or retail sales is preferred though full training will be given to the successful applicant demonstrating the ability to meet or exceed targets.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse clientele.
Excellent negotiation skills with a keen eye for detail.
Experience in using stock management software and other sales tools is advantageous.
Successful candidates will have a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
