Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic person to join our team. This role involves supporting food production and preparation processes within a busy kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking, excellent organisational skills, and a keen eye for food safety standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a dynamic setting, contributing to the creation of good-quality, enjoyable food products.

You must have some form of baking experience whether that is through work or as a hobby interest. T

You will also be required to work two weekdays as well as a Saturday so this position isn't suitable for someone still in education.

This is also not a training position. Some training will of course be given however basic skills of cooking/baking are required.

Duties

Assist with food preparation and cooking tasks, ensuring all products meet quality standards
Support the food production process by organising ingredients and equipment efficiently
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in line with food safety regulations
Help with baking and other cooking activities as required
Ensure all kitchen areas are kept tidy, organised, and safe for staff and customers
Follow recipes accurately and assist in portion control during food assembly
Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth customer service operations
Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times, including proper handling of food and equipment
Working days Friday & Saturday 7am start plus one other week day.

Experience

Previous experience in food production, food preparation or cooking is desirable but not essential; a high interest in cooking/baking will be required if there is no previous experience.
Knowledge of kitchen procedures, including food safety standards and hygiene practices
Experience working in a restaurant or catering environment is advantageous
Familiarity with baking techniques
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Prior experience in a customer-facing role is preferred but not mandatory
