Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organised Business Support Officer to provide essential administrative assistance within our organisation. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring smooth office operations, supporting various departments, and maintaining effective communication channels. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong administrative background to develop their skills in a professional environment.

Duties

Manage and maintain office records, files, and documentation with accuracy and confidentiality
Handle incoming calls with professional phone etiquette and direct enquiries appropriately
Assist with data entry tasks using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and QuickBooks software programmes
Support scheduling and organisational tasks to ensure timely completion of projects and appointments
Prepare correspondence, reports, and presentations as required
Coordinate meetings, organise agendas, and take minutes when necessary
Perform general clerical duties including photocopying, scanning, and mailing
Support financial administration through invoicing, expense tracking, and basic bookkeeping functions

Skills

Proven office experience with strong organisational skills
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar), and QuickBooks
Excellent typing speed and data entry accuracy
Previous administrative experience is highly desirable
Strong phone etiquette with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
Exceptional organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail
Familiarity with clerical procedures and office management systems
