Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter/Decorator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paint, varnish, and other finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential to commercial properties, contributing to the transformation and enhancement of spaces. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation between sites.

Duties

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
Apply paints, varnishes, stains, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
Decorate interior and exterior walls, ceilings, woodwork, and fixtures with precision and care.
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout each project.
Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress and requirements.
Assist in colour matching and selecting appropriate finishes for different surfaces when required.

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction painting or decorating is highly desirable.
Good communication skills in English to understand instructions and liaise effectively with clients and colleagues.
Valid driving licence is advantageous for travelling between sites.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Physical fitness to handle manual tasks such as lifting materials and working at heights if necessary. This role provides an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals seeking to develop their skills within the construction painting industry while contributing to visually impactful projects across various settings.

Pay: £125.00-£180.00 per day
