Overview
The Assheton Arms is seeking a skilled and dedicated Breakfast Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and delivering high-quality breakfast dishes in a fast-paced hospitality environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for food, leadership qualities, and experience in kitchen operations to contribute to our renowned establishment. The Breakfast Chef will play a vital role in ensuring guest satisfaction through exceptional food presentation and service standards.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook breakfast dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
Supervise and oversee the breakfast service, ensuring smooth operation during busy periods
Manage food production, including portion control, quality checks, and presentation
Lead and manage the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to junior staff
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in accordance with health regulations
Assist with menu planning and development to enhance breakfast offerings
Monitor stock levels, order supplies as needed, and minimise waste
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Train new team members on food preparation, safety procedures, and service standards

Experience

Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment, ideally with supervising responsibilities
Strong background in food production, cooking, and kitchen management
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards
Experience in team management and leadership within a busy kitchen setting
Familiarity with restaurant operations, including serving procedures during breakfast service
Previous experience in hospitality or culinary roles demonstrating excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
