Overview

Part time waiter/ waitress for The Dog at pentrich

*Please note, this is not a summer job and therefore we will not be taking anyone who will be leaving for university in september

Join our vibrant team as a Part-time Waitress/Waiter and bring your passion for hospitality to life! In this energetic role, you will be the friendly face that welcomes guests, takes orders, and ensures an exceptional dining experience. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create memorable moments for our guests while supporting the smooth operation of our restaurant. This position offers flexible hours perfect for those looking to gain valuable restaurant experience while balancing other commitments.

Duties

Greet guests warmly and seat them promptly, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive
Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special requests are noted and communicated clearly to the kitchen and bar staff
Serve food and drinks efficiently, maintaining a high standard of presentation and quality
Assist with food safety practices, including proper handling and sanitation of dishes and utensils
Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
Manage guest inquiries professionally, providing excellent guest services and resolving any issues promptly
Support basic food preparation tasks as needed, including setting tables, refilling condiments, or assisting in the kitchen during busy periods

Requirements

Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper serving techniques
Ability to perform basic math for handling bills, payments, and change accurately
Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills with a friendly, positive attitude towards guests and team members
Kitchen experience or culinary knowledge is a plus but not required; willingness to assist with food prep is appreciated
Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding guest services with professionalism and enthusiasm
