Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a vigilant and professional Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors during mosque madrassah. The role is for 2 hours a day between the hours of 5pm-7pm Monday - Thursday.

This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and a proactive approach are essential. The Security Officer will play a vital role in maintaining a secure environment through effective surveillance and incident management.

Responsibilities

Static post on the premises entrance to deter unauthorised access and identify potential security risks.
Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, including providing first aid if necessary.
Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security breaches for reporting purposes.
Enforce access control procedures by checking identification and issuing visitor passes.
Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services when required.
Ensure all security equipment is functioning correctly and report any faults or malfunctions.

Qualifications

Proven experience in security or surveillance roles is preferred but not essential.
Knowledge of CCTV operation, loss prevention techniques, and emergency response procedure.
Valid first aid certification is desirable.
Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert over extended periods.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to respond calmly and effectively in stressful situations.
A clean criminal record with the ability to pass background checks.
Flexibility to work various shifts as required if necessary.
