Overview

Join our clients dynamic food production team as a Food Production Operative! In this vital role, you will be at the heart of creating high-quality food products in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment. Your energy and attention to detail will contribute directly to delivering delicious, safe, and consistent products to our customers. This is an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills in food manufacturing while working within a supportive and lively team.

Responsibilities

Operate various machinery and equipment involved in food production processes, ensuring smooth and efficient operation
Follow strict food safety protocols, including HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) procedures, to maintain product quality and safety standards
Assist with the preparation and assembly of food items according to specified recipes and quality guidelines
Conduct regular quality checks and document production data accurately using basic math skills
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, adhering to hygiene regulations at all times
Monitor mechanical equipment, identify potential issues, and report maintenance needs promptly
Support continuous improvement initiatives by following standard operating procedures and safety policies

Qualifications

Basic understanding of food safety standards, including HACCP principles
Mechanical knowledge or experience with machinery used in food production is advantageous
Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions precisely
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Basic math skills for measuring ingredients, recording data, and performing simple calculations
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt in a fast-moving environment

Working hours are between 6.30am and 5pm Monday to Friday (8 hour shifts)

This role is being advertised by PRS on behalf of our Crewe based client.

Pay: £12.71-£13.71 per hour
