Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in preparing and cooking high-quality dishes, ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about culinary arts to develop their skills within a professional environment. The role involves working in a fast-paced setting, maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene, and contributing to the overall dining experience.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards
Assist in the organisation and management of specific sections within the kitchen
Ensure all food is prepared safely and hygienically, adhering to food safety regulations
Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to ensure ingredients are available for service
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service delivery during busy periods
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work stations at all times
Support junior kitchen staff through training and guidance as required
Contribute to menu development by providing ideas based on current culinary trends and customer preferences

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation within a professional kitchen environment
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Previous restaurant or culinary experience is essential, preferably with experience serving in a high-volume setting
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Passion for culinary arts and a desire to continually improve skills
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as required by the restaurant schedule
Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
