Transport Admin

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Transport Administrator to join our Transport Department. This is a key support role responsible for ensuring the efficient day-to-day administration of transport operations, maintaining excellent customer service, and supporting the timely delivery products to our customers. Reporting to the Transport Manager.

What you will be doing:

Providing administrative support to the department.
General Admin Duties will include - checking and responding to emails in the transport inbox filing documents, loading copies, delivery notes, any other related content that is applicable.
Deal with potential problems using own initiative, skills and knowledge where appropriate, whilst utilising skills of other team members within the transport function.
Report on a daily basis to the Transport Supervisor any relevant issues/challenges.
Work collaboratively with other departments to improve customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

What you will bring:

Previous experience in an administrative role, knowledge of the transport process.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong organisational and time management abilities.
Working knowledge of SAP would be advantageous, although training will be supplied.
Knowledge and understanding of the Descartes routing system (training will be given to the successful candidate).
Good level of IT literacy and the ability to learn new system quickly.
