Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming environment for all patrons. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining high standards of food safety, and ensuring the café runs smoothly during busy periods. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills within a dynamic and supportive setting.

Duties

Prepare and serve a wide range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks
Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to at all times
Assist customers with menu selections and provide excellent service to enhance their experience
Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the till system efficiently
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and customer areas throughout shifts
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth service during busy periods
Follow health and safety procedures diligently, including food handling protocols
Support with basic food preparation tasks when required, such as assembling light snacks or pastries

Skills

Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar customer service role is desirable
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices
Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment
Ability to perform food preparation tasks accurately and efficiently
Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders during peak times
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and measuring ingredients
Excellent communication skills to engage positively with customers and team members
Organised with good attention to detail to ensure high standards of cleanliness and service

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour
