Full job description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Motor Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of motor vehicles. This role requires a strong foundation in mechanical and electrical systems, with the ability to work independently and efficiently to ensure optimal equipment performance. The ideal applicant will possess excellent problem-solving skills, a proactive attitude, and experience within the motor trade / garage environment.

Duties

Conduct routine inspections, servicing, and repairs.
Diagnose faults using a Snap-On diagnostic machine.
Repair or replace faulty components using hand tools & power tools.
Repair / replace tyres.
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repair status and maintenance needs.

Experience

Proven experience in mechanical repair, or a similar role.
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and assembly processes.
Experience working with vehicle ramps.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repairs or installations.
Prior experience in customer service is advantageous but not essential; excellent communication skills are required
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
Candidates should be organised, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.

Pay: £38,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
