Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food services. The ideal candidate will assist with meal and food preparation, maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, and ensure food safety standards are upheld. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their catering and culinary skills within a professional environment. This role is term time only.

Duties

Assist with meal preparation and food presentation in accordance with established recipes and standards
Support the cooking process by preparing ingredients and basic dishes under supervision
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workstations, utensils, and equipment
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
Help with serving food to customers or guests as required
Assist in stock rotation, inventory checks, and restocking supplies
Support the team during catering events or large-scale meal services as needed and assist with team lunch break cover

Requirements

Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or a kitchen environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards
Basic cooking and meal preparation skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Willingness to learn new skills and work as part of a team
Flexibility to adapt to different tasks within the kitchen setting

Pay: £12.71-£14.00 per hour
