Full job description

The Varsity Hotel & Spa is looking for a part time reservationist and receptionist, flexible hours covering weekdays, evenings and weekends. This position might be suitable for an individual with previous hotel experience such as Receptionist or Reservationist. The role also involves helping and organizing meetings & events.

Requirements:

Have an exceptional eye for detail
Driven to exceed guests expectations and deliver exceptional service standards
Ability to work on your own as well as being a great team player

Responsibilities:

Manage guest bookings and payments via phone and email and positively respond to all enquiries.
Promote and sell the services and products offered within The Hotel and Spa.
Maintain accurate client records in accordance with Company Policy and carry out general administrative tasks as required.
Handling of various requests for reservations, changes, cancellations and additional information.
Build and maintain strong relationships with guests and recognise those who are on a repeat visit.
Supporting the events and reservations team

The core skills and experience required to succeed:

Previous experience in meeting and events, sales, or the day-to-day running of hotel is a plus. Reception experience is a must.
Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify revenue opportunities and drive sales.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with a strong attention to detail.
Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships while delivering exceptional service.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management or CRM software.
Previous experience of PMS systems such as Opera, ResLink or other is essential, however further training will be provided
