Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Jetvac Driver/Operator to join our team. This role involves operating specialised jetvac equipment to carry out cleaning and maintenance tasks across various sites. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with power tools, and the ability to work safely in a dynamic environment. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with technical skills to contribute to essential infrastructure maintenance while developing their expertise further.

You will be working as a 2 man team with another HGV driver, sharing the driving and operating duties across the week.

Jetvac experience is an advantage however not required, training will be given to the right person.

You must be able to work as part of a team and be a team player.

You must be 25 or older with 2 years experience driving class C.

Full Driver CPC is required.

Duties

Safely operate jetvac machinery to perform high-pressure cleaning, excavation, and drainage services.
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Assist with the setup and breakdown of machinery at different sites, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
Use hand tools, power tools, and other mechanical equipment to support operational tasks.
Carry out minor repairs such as welding or electrical work when necessary, adhering to safety standards.
Read and interpret technical drawings or schematics related to job assignments.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and safety checklists.
Follow all health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Skills

Proven experience operating jetvac or similar high-pressure cleaning equipment.
Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs using hand tools and power tools.
Experience with excavator operation is advantageous but not essential.
Welding skills or electrical experience are desirable for supporting maintenance tasks.
Strong understanding of health and safety procedures within industrial environments.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and operational procedures.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various outdoor settings.
Valid driving licence suitable for operating commercial vehicles or lorries involved in site transport.
