Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee food preparation, manage kitchen operations, and ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained. Previous restaurant experience and supervising skills are highly desirable, as you will be responsible for guiding a team of kitchen staff and ensuring smooth service during busy periods.

Duties

Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service.
Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards.
Oversee food safety procedures, ensuring compliance with health regulations at all times.
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and maintain stock control to minimise waste.
Assist in menu planning and development to keep offerings innovative and appealing.
Train new staff members in food preparation techniques, safety standards, and customer service expectations.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Monitor kitchen cleanliness and organisation, ensuring all equipment is maintained properly.

Skills

Proven experience in food production, cooking, and kitchen management within a hospitality or restaurant environment.
Strong leadership skills with previous supervising experience.
Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure during busy service periods.
Exceptional team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive working environment.
Creative flair in food preparation and menu development.
Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and front-of-house staff.
