Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled/multi skilled trades person or camper/caravan technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling new camper conversions and maintaining equipment and components to ensure safety, functionality, and customer satisfaction. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for wood/gas/electric/mechanical work and customer service to develop their skills within a dynamic environment. Duties

Interpret technical schematics and diagrams to carry out repairs and assembly tasks accurately.
Perform maintenance and repair on camper units, including mechanical and electrical components.
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs efficiently.
Conduct equipment assembly, ensuring all parts are fitted correctly according to specifications.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements promptly.
Assist with heavy lifting of camper parts or equipment safely, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair processes and addressing client queries professionally.
Carry out routine inspections to identify potential faults or maintenance needs proactively.
Maintain a clean, organised workspace to promote safety and efficiency during operations.
Work with a multi cultural team with the common goal of succeeding.

Requirements

Proven experience with carpentry, minor electric installations, preferably within the camper/caravan building industry.
Good understanding of technical diagrams, and assembly instructions.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and chop saw's safely and effectively.
Knowledge of maintenance procedures for mechanical and electrical components.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely as part of daily tasks.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail during repairs and inspections.
Good customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
Physical fitness suitable for manual work involving standing for extended periods and lifting heavy objects.

Pay: £13.50-£17.50 per hour
