Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled 360 Excavator Operator to join our team in SE17. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a 360-degree excavator to assist with construction and excavation projects. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, experience with commercial driving, and the ability to work safely and efficiently on-site. The successful applicant will contribute to the successful completion of projects by ensuring precise operation of heavy machinery while adhering to health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Operate a 360-degree excavator to perform digging, lifting, and material handling tasks in accordance with project specifications.
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on the excavator to ensure optimal performance.
Assist with site preparation, including clearing and levelling ground as required.
Follow all health and safety regulations, including the use of appropriate PPE and safe operating procedures.
Collaborate with team members and site managers to coordinate tasks effectively.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and report any machinery issues promptly.
Support other construction activities as directed by supervisors, including manoeuvring materials using commercial driving skills when necessary.

Qualifications

Proven experience operating a 360 excavator in a construction environment.
Mechanical knowledge related to heavy machinery maintenance and troubleshooting.
Valid commercial driving licence (CPC) preferred but not essential.
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift heavy loads safely.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Pay: Up to £22.00 per hour
