Job title: Private Sector Housing Technical Compliance Officer – Empty Homes

The role:

This is a hands-on role focused on tackling empty homes and helping bring them back into use across Liverpool. You’ll manage your own caseload, carrying out inspections, checking compliance and progressing cases through to the next stage. Using a mix of proactive targeting and reactive work, you’ll gather evidence, prepare notices and support enforcement action, playing a key role in moving cases forward and helping to turn empty properties into homes.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys getting out on site and getting stuck into cases
You might already have experience in housing, compliance or a related technical role, or you're looking to build on your skills in inspections and enforcement
You’ll be organised, practical and able to manage your own workload, with good communication skills and a willingness to learn
