Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations within our hospitality or culinary establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant or hotel experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional service. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality food production and service. The Assistant Manager will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive team environment and ensuring operational excellence.

Duties

Lead and supervise the kitchen and front-of-house teams, including food preparation, cooking, serving, and hospitality services
Oversee food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations
Manage food production processes to maintain quality standards and efficiency
Coordinate daily operations, including staff scheduling and task delegation
Monitor customer service levels to guarantee guest satisfaction
Train and develop team members in culinary techniques, food safety, and service standards
Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control
Uphold cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen and service areas
Handle customer queries or complaints professionally to ensure positive experiences
Collaborate with senior management on menu planning, promotional activities, and operational improvements

Requirements

Proven supervising experience within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management
Extensive knowledge of food safety standards and food production processes
Excellent team management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff
Previous experience in serving or hospitality roles is highly desirable
Familiarity with culinary techniques and restaurant operations
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
A recognised qualification in hospitality management or culinary arts is advantageous
Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences with a professional attitude

Pay: £40,000.00 per year
