Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining high standards of food safety, and ensuring the smooth operation of the café. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks, ensuring quality standards are met.
Handle food safety procedures diligently, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene throughout the shift.
Assist customers with their orders in a friendly and efficient manner, providing excellent customer service.
Operate coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment safely and effectively.
Manage cash register operations accurately, including handling payments and giving correct change.
Keep the work area clean and organised, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
Support team members during peak hours by assisting with food serving.

Qualifications

Previous Barista experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is advantageous.
Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately.
Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy periods.
Friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills to engage positively with customers and team members.

Pay: £12.71-£14.71 per hour
