Full job description

Job Summary

This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys financial reporting, analysis, and working in a small team during an exciting period of change and development. The role will offer fully flexible hours and hybrid working will be available.

Responsibilities

Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting reports.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
Produce variance analysis and performance reporting.
Prepare month-end journals, accruals, and prepayments.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances.
Support cash flow reporting and forecasting.
Preparation, review and submission of VAT returns within Quickbooks, ensuring compliance with HMRC requirements.
Maintaining accurate VAT records and reconciliations across multiple entities.
Manage company payroll and pension contributions on a monthly basis.
Partner with operational teams to provide financial insight.
Assist with end of year accounts preparation and other statutory compliance.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost control.
Mentor and support the development of less senior members of the team.
Various ad-hoc reporting as required by the business.

About you

Qualified Accountant (AAT, CIMA or equivalent) or QBE with relevant skills and experience.
Minimum 2 years post-qualification accountancy experience.
Strong understanding of management accounting principles.
Advanced Excel skills.
Advanced experience using Quickbooks online.
Knowledge of finance factoring an advantage.
Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
Able to work accurately and effectively to deadlines.
