Job Summary
Join our dynamic culinary team as a Kitchen Assistant, where your enthusiasm for food and dedication to cleanliness will help create a vibrant and efficient kitchen environment. In this role, you will support chefs and kitchen staff by preparing ingredients, maintaining hygiene standards, and ensuring smooth food service operations. Your contribution will be vital in delivering high-quality meals and exceptional dining experiences. Duties

Assist with food preparation by chopping, peeling, and organizing ingredients according to recipes and standards
Support cooking processes by following instructions from chefs or kitchen supervisors
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment to uphold food safety standards
Handle food items safely during storage, preparation, and serving to prevent contamination
Prepare meal components in line with established recipes and portion sizes for efficient service
Support catering events or large-scale meal services by setting up stations and serving guests when needed
Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times, including temperature control and hygiene practices

Skills

Strong cooking skills with knowledge of basic culinary techniques
Proficiency in knife skills for chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients efficiently
Experience in meal preparation and food handling within a restaurant or catering environment
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the food industry
Ability to work quickly and accurately in a busy kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting kitchen staff
Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not mandatory; eagerness to learn is essential
