Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to work in a welcoming setting where attention to detail and efficiency are valued. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee and food items, ensuring customer satisfaction at all times.

Duties

Prepare and serve a wide range of hot and cold beverages, including specialised coffee drinks, teas, and smoothies.
Assist customers with menu selections and provide excellent customer service.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the till system efficiently.
Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth operations throughout shifts.
Follow health and safety procedures diligently, including proper food handling and hygiene practices.
Support food preparation tasks such as assembling light snacks or baked goods when required.
Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly without compromising quality.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar food service role is essential.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices within the hospitality industry.
Strong serving skills with a friendly, approachable manner.
Ability to perform basic food preparation tasks confidently.
Good organisational skills with effective time management to handle peak periods efficiently.
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately.
Excellent communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members.
A proactive attitude with the ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
