Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Soft Landscaper Subcontractor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor environments through various landscaping tasks. This role requires a strong understanding of horticulture, construction, and maintenance practices, with the ability to operate a range of mechanical and power tools. The position offers an excellent opportunity for experienced landscapers to contribute to high-quality projects while working independently or as part of a dedicated team.

Responsibilities

Perform landscape maintenance activities including pruning, planting, turf care, and soil preparation.
Operate mechanical equipment such as excavators and irrigation systems efficiently and safely.
Use hand tools and power tools for tasks such as digging, edging, planting, and general site preparation.
Conduct routine maintenance on landscaping equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Assist with construction-related tasks including site clearing, grading, and installation of features.
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and environmental regulations.
Collaborate with clients and project managers to meet specifications and deadlines.
Maintain organised work sites by managing waste disposal and ensuring tools are stored securely.

Experience

Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture.
Mechanical knowledge related to operating excavators, irrigation systems, and power tools.
Familiarity with construction processes within outdoor environments.
Hands-on experience with the use of hand tools such as spades, pruners, and trowels.
Knowledge of plant care, soil management, and sustainable landscaping practices is desirable.
Previous experience working as a subcontractor in outdoor settings is preferred but not essential.
