Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and organised Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive environment, contributing to patient care and clinic efficiency. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with a keen eye for detail and strong communication skills.

Duties

Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, creating a welcoming atmosphere
Manage appointment scheduling, cancellations, and reminders efficiently
Answer incoming calls promptly, providing accurate information or directing calls appropriately
Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the system
Process payments and handle administrative paperwork with confidentiality
Liaise with healthcare professionals and other staff to coordinate patient care
Ensure the reception area remains tidy, organised, and welcoming at all times
Assist with general administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence

Qualifications

Previous office experience or administrative experience is highly desirable
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication abilities
Proficient in using office software such as MS Office or similar programmes
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining professionalism
Friendly demeanour with a patient-centred approach to service delivery
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
