Full job description

Overview

Roy's Kitchen is an exciting, family-run restaurant bringing authentic Mauritian cuisine and warm hospitality to Ewell. As we prepare to open our brand-new restaurant, we're looking for experienced and enthusiastic Front of House Team Members to join our opening team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a new restaurant from day one, helping us deliver exceptional food, genuine hospitality, and memorable dining experiences for every guest.

We're seeking individuals with at least 2 years' experience in a busy restaurant environment who are passionate about customer service, work well under pressure, and enjoy being part of a close-knit team.

Responsibilities

Welcome and seat guests with a warm, friendly, and professional attitude.
Take food and beverage orders accurately using the restaurant's ordering system.
Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining excellent presentation standards.
Build rapport with guests and confidently recommend menu items and daily specials.
Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve guest queries professionally.
Process cash and card payments accurately.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, service stations, and front-of-house areas.
Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
Follow all food hygiene, health and safety, and licensing procedures.
Assist with opening and closing duties as required.
Help create a positive and welcoming atmosphere that reflects Roy's Kitchen's values.

Experience

Minimum 2 years' experience working in a restaurant front-of-house role is preferred.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Experience working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Ability to remain calm and professional during busy service periods.
A positive attitude with a strong work ethic and willingness to support the wider team.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
Confidence handling customer payments and operating a till or EPOS system.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
Right to work in the UK.
