Administration Assistant
Hours: 37 Hours Per Week
Contract: Temporary – 3+ Month Contract
Location: Guildhall Walk, PO1 2AL
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: PAYE: £13.45 per hour

About the Role

We're recruiting an Administration Assistant to provide essential administrative support to the Children's Social Care team. This is a key support role for someone organised, reliable, and confident working in a professional environment. The successful candidate will provide an efficient administrative service while handling sensitive and confidential information in line with data protection, confidentiality, and safeguarding procedures.

What You'll Be Doing

Providing administrative and clerical support to the Children's Social Care team
Maintaining accurate records, documents, and databases in line with service procedures
Processing information and updating administrative systems efficiently and accurately
Preparing reports, correspondence, and general documentation as required
Supporting meetings by organising paperwork, taking notes, and coordinating meeting arrangements
Handling enquiries professionally and providing support to colleagues and service users where required
Ensuring all information is managed securely in accordance with confidentiality and data protection requirements
Completing general office administration tasks to support the smooth running of the service

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone organised, proactive, and detail-focused with the ability to manage competing priorities. You'll ideally have:

Must-Have Requirements

Previous administrative or clerical experience
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
Good IT skills, including confidence using Microsoft Office and administrative systems
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Eligibility to work in the UK

Nice-to-Have Requirements

Previous experience working within Children's Services, Social Care, or a Local Authority environment
Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and confidentiality requirements
Experience supporting professional teams in an administrative capacity
