Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and baking, with a keen eye for detail and a dedication to creating exceptional desserts and baked goods. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills in a dynamic environment, contributing to the overall dining experience of our guests.

Duties

Prepare, bake, and present a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in developing new pastry recipes and seasonal specials to enhance the menu offerings.
Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly adhered to during food preparation and handling.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pastry section, including equipment and workstations.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely service and high-quality presentation of all desserts.
Monitor stock levels of ingredients and communicate needs for replenishment to ensure smooth operations.
Support other kitchen staff with food preparation tasks as required, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.

Requirements

Proven experience in food production, food preparation, cooking, or bakery environments.
Strong background in culinary arts with specific expertise in baking and pastry making.
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices within a professional kitchen setting.
Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is highly desirable.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Passion for creating visually appealing and delicious desserts that meet high standards of quality.
Organised with excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. This role is suitable for motivated individuals eager to develop their pastry skills within a professional setting that values creativity, precision, and dedication to excellence.
