Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to diagnose and repair a variety of automotive issues. This role requires hands-on experience with automotive systems and components, as well as a commitment to providing high-quality service to our customers.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake inspections.
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to complete repairs efficiently.
Assemble and disassemble vehicle components as needed for repairs or replacements.
Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues before they become significant problems.
Fabricate parts or components when necessary to ensure proper vehicle functionality.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs and customer satisfaction.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex automotive issues.
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to automotive repair.
Experience with equipment repair and the ability to perform heavy lifting when required.
Familiarity with electrical systems in vehicles, including soldering skills for wiring repairs.
Capability to operate a forklift safely when moving heavy parts or equipment.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
