Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Health & Safety Manager to support our organization’s safety initiatives and ensure a secure, compliant, and healthy work environment. In this vital role, you will develop, implement, and oversee safety policies and procedures, conduct risk assessments, and promote a culture of safety awareness across two operational sites. Your expertise will help prevent accidents, respond effectively to emergencies, and foster continuous improvement in health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Responsible to Group HSE Manager.
Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive health and safety policies aligned with legal regulations and industry best practices.
Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions promptly.
Lead incident investigations by performing root cause analysis to determine underlying issues and prevent recurrence.
Coordinate emergency response procedures, including first aid protocols, fire drills, and evacuation plans.
Prepare detailed report writing on safety incidents, inspections, audits, and compliance activities for management review.
Deliver safety training sessions to educate employees on safe work practices, proper equipment use, and emergency procedures.
Monitor compliance with health and safety legislation; keep records up-to-date for audits and inspections.

Qualifications

Proven experience in health and safety management within a dynamic organizational environment.
Certification in first aid is required; additional safety certifications are a plus.
Strong report writing skills with the ability to document incidents, inspections, and corrective actions clearly.
Expertise in root cause analysis techniques to identify underlying issues behind safety incidents.
Excellent communication skills to effectively train staff and promote a culture of safety awareness.
Ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and emergency response planning.
