Job Description

We are looking for a dependable and hands-on Caretaker / Handyman to support the day-to-day operations of the Grainger Hub. This varied role involves maintaining the building, supporting events, and ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.

Working Hours

Monday to Thursday: 4:00pm – 9:00pm
Friday: 9:00am – 5:00pm

Key Responsibilities

Set up rooms and equipment for events
Clear down and tidy spaces after use
Provide reception cover when required
Secure the building (lock-up duties and safety checks)
Carry out basic painting and decorating
Perform general maintenance and minor repairs
Ensure the premises are clean, safe, and presentable

Requirements

Experience in a handyman, caretaker, or maintenance role preferred
Practical DIY skills
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Flexible approach to tasks

Pay: £13.50 per hour

Work Location: In person
