Warehouse Operative

AMB is a key partner to many organisations involved in the Thermoforming industry. We offer products and services to customers based on our experience, technical expertise and a thorough understanding of the Thermoforming process. We have a reputation for quality and technical excellence and our vision is to continue to develop an organisation focused on providing the most comprehensive range of outsourced services for companies involved in Thermoforming.

Reporting to the Supervisor, you will be required to carry out general duties; including goods in, picking and packing, and completing duties for dispatch and inventory as designated by your supervisor.

Day to day activities will include;

 Operating Forklift Trucks within busy warehouse/yard environment

 Loading/unloading vehicles

 To deal with the movement of products and materials within the warehouse, using the appropriate FLT and/or other suitable material handling equipment

 Adopt a ‘clean as you go’ approach to ensure housekeeping standards are effectively maintained

 Carry out duties in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974

 Support and train colleagues where necessary, in line with work instructions and standard operating procedures

 Contribute and participate in Company activities

 Carry out additional and/or other duties as necessary to meet the needs of the business

You must hold a valid Forklift Licence and have previous experience working within a similar role to apply for this role. Applicants should also have;

 The ability to work to deadlines

 Good communication skills

 The ability to work with minimum supervision

 Awareness of current Health & Safety practices

Hours of work

Continental shifts

4 days on/2 days off/3 nights on/2 days off/3 days on/2 days off/4 nights on/8 days off

Average hours of work - 42 per week

6.30am – 6.30pm dayshift

6.30pm – 6.30am nightshift

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From £13.63 per hour
