Full job description

Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Subway Sandwich Artists to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing fresh sandwiches, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in food preparation and hospitality within a fast-paced setting. Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. The ideal candidate will possess strong time management skills, a keen eye for food safety, and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to company standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
Greet customers warmly and assist with their orders efficiently.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including sanitising surfaces and utensils regularly.
Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the till system.
Upsell additional menu items to enhance customer experience and maximise sales opportunities.
Follow food safety protocols diligently to ensure compliance with health regulations.
Restock ingredients and supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts.
Assist in opening or closing duties as required, including cleaning and equipment checks.

Qualifications

Previous experience in food preparation, serving, or hospitality is desirable but not mandatory.
Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is advantageous.
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
Experience with kitchen operations or culinary tasks is a plus.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods.
A friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills to engage positively with customers.
Ability to work efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an engaging work environment where you can develop valuable skills in food service while delivering exceptional customer experiences.
