Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and organisation within our premises, ensuring a welcoming and hygienic environment for guests and staff alike. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a passion for providing exceptional service. The role involves working in a dynamic setting, where attention to cleanliness standards and customer satisfaction are paramount.

Responsibilities

Perform general cleaning duties, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitising surfaces
Change bed linens and replenish toiletries as required
Assist with laundry tasks and organise supplies to ensure efficient operations
Maintain high standards of hygiene across all areas, including guest rooms, communal spaces, and service areas
Support with organisational tasks such as restocking supplies and reporting maintenance issues
Provide courteous assistance to guests or clients when needed, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction
Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to uphold a safe working environment

Skills

Previous janitorial or hotel cleaning experience is highly desirable
Knowledge of commercial cleaning procedures and standards
Basic cooking skills are advantageous for preparing light refreshments or assisting in food service areas
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanour
Organised with strong attention to detail to ensure all tasks are completed thoroughly
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules
