Packing Operative

We are seeking a reliable and self-motivated Packing Operatives o join our growing production team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in producing high-quality work.

As a Packing Operative, you'll play a key role in ensuring our products are packed accurately, safely and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality, hygiene and health & safety.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

Pack products accurately and efficiently in line with specifications and quality standards.
Set up, operate and monitor filling and packing equipment.
Carry out routine quality checks and record production data accurately.
Complete line clearances to ensure production areas are ready for new jobs.
Label, code, count and move finished products to the correct locations.
Maintain excellent hygiene standards and follow all health & safety procedures.
Meet production and changeover targets while minimising waste.
Complete production documentation accurately and on time.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors to achieve daily production goals.
Identify opportunities to improve safety, efficiency and production processes.

We're looking for someone who has:

Experience in a production, packing or manufacturing environment.
A good understanding of hygiene, quality and health & safety procedures.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Confidence working with machinery (full training provided where required).
A reliable, organised and positive approach to work.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A commitment to producing quality work and getting things right first time.
The flexibility to support different production areas when needed.
The ability to thrive in a busy environment where some tasks are repetitive.

The working hours for this role are on a rotating early and late shift:

Week 1: Monday to Thursday 06:00 til 14:00, Fridays 06:00 - 12:30

Week 2: Monday to Thursday 14:00 til 22:00, Friday 12.30 - 19:00

This role is suited to someone who is tidy, well-organised, and takes pride in their work. You should be able to follow verbal and written instructions, have a strong awareness of health and safety practices and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
