Receptionist – Bupa Dental Care Stalybridge

Join our friendly team at Bupa Dental Care Stalybridge, working alongside Practice Manager Philippa Kenyon, where you’ll be at the heart of delivering a first-class patient experience.
Practice Location
Bupa Dental Care Stalybridge
Stalybridge, Greater Manchester (SK15 area)
Located in a convenient town centre setting, the practice is surrounded by:

Local shops, cafés, and supermarkets
Stamford Park – great for breaks or after work
Nearby healthcare and community services

How to Get There

Train: Stalybridge Railway Station is close by (approx. 5–10 minutes walk), with direct links to Manchester Piccadilly and surrounding areas
Bus: Regular bus routes serve the town centre from Ashton-under-Lyne, Hyde, and Manchester
Car: Easy access via the A635, with local street parking and nearby car parks available

Working Pattern

Monday: 7:45 – 18:15
Tuesday: 7:45 – 18:15
Wednesday: Day Off
Thursday: 7:45 – 18:15
Friday: 7:45 – 18:15

Weekly Hours: 40 hours

️ Flexibility required – to support other nearby Bupa practices.

About the Role

Our receptionists play a vital role in creating a positive experience for every patient. From the moment they walk through the door, you’ll help them feel comfortable, supported, and well cared for.
This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same, and you’ll be right at the heart of the practice.
✅ Key Responsibilities

Welcoming patients and managing the front desk
Booking and managing appointments efficiently
Handling patient queries both in person and over the phone
Supporting the clinical team with administrative tasks
Maintaining accurate patient records
Processing payments and financial administration

What We’re Looking For

Strong communication and organisational skills
A friendly, professional, and patient-focused approach
Previous reception or customer service experience (dental/healthcare desirable but not essential)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

What you’ll be doing

As a Receptionist, you’ll play a key role in making every patient experience a positive one:

Customer care at the heart – warmly greeting patients in person and over the phone, answering queries, and ensuring a relaxed, welcoming environment.
Diary & appointment management – handling bookings, cancellations, and rescheduling to keep the practice running efficiently.
Supporting patients with confidence – explaining processes and treatment options, supporting payment transactions, and helping patients understand their options (private vs NHS services).
Administration you can rely on – keeping patient records accurate and up to date, managing confidential information, and maintaining a professional reception area.
Problem-solving with empathy – handling concerns and complaints professionally, always aiming for a positive outcome.
Being part of the team – supporting clinicians with smooth handovers and the patient journey from reception to treatment. Assisting with admin and helping the Practice Manager keep everything running smoothly.

Confident in promoting and upselling Bupa Dental Care products and services including plan options, finance and insurance claims.
