Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to handle various driving and warehouse tasks as needed.

Monday, Wednesday & Friday 08:00 - 14:00.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a delivery vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling to avoid damage.
Navigate efficiently to delivery locations using maps or GPS systems.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and receipts.
Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays.
Assist in warehouse duties when not on delivery routes, including inventory management and organisation.
Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety standards are met.

Skills

Previous experience as a delivery driver is essential.
Valid Full driver’s licence with a clean driving record is required.
Experience in commercial driving is advantageous.
Proficient driving skills with the ability to operate various types of vehicles.
Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is beneficial.
Capability for heavy lifting, as some deliveries may involve bulky or heavy items.
