Field Based Nursery Manager
First Place Nurseries, Bushey
Part of Grandir UK
Salary - £39,520.00 - £49,920.00 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications with regular pay reviews)

Please note- As this is a field-based Nursery Manager role, the successful candidate will initially be based at our Bushey nursery during the current Nursery Manager’s maternity leave. Following their return later in the year, the role will then involve supporting across our wider nursery settings as required.

Our First Place Day Nursery part of Grandir UK are seeking a proactive Field Based Nursery Manager to provide leadership, guidance and operational support to our nursery teams, ensuring high standards, continuous improvement and strong team performance.

Location and Travel
First Place Nursery Bushey is conveniently located in Bushey, with excellent transport links making it easily accessible for local families and commuters. The nursery benefits from close proximity to major road networks including the M1 and A41, as well as nearby train stations such as Bushey Station, which provides direct routes into London Euston. There are also good local bus routes serving the area, making drop-offs and pick-ups straightforward for parents travelling from surrounding areas. This well-connected location makes our nursery an ideal choice for families living or working in Bushey and the wider Hertfordshire and North London areas.

What will you be doing:

Promote high standards of quality within the nursery in respect of the environment, resources and experiences offered to children
Ensure that all children attending the nursery receive rich and stimulating experiences appropriate to their age and stage of development
Responsible for all administrative duties associated with the nursery, such as maintaining children’s records, ordering equipment, maintaining inventories, and keeping personnel records
Facilitate inspections by regulatory bodies and implement any recommendations
Be responsible for ensuring the nursery remains compliant in respect of suitably trained staff with relevant first aid qualifications
Agree and deliver occupancy targets
Recruit, induct, support, train and appraise all staff to ensure delivery of high-quality childcare practice
Ensure that all staff develop and maintain friendly and professional relationships with parents and carers
