Administration Apprentice

Hours: 8 hours a day 5 days a week with option for overtime

About the role

Working as part of a small admin team for a high end garden maintenance and tree company based in a working yard in South Mimms. We are looking for someone who is flexible, proactive and willing to get involved in all aspects of the business. While the role has core responsibilities, the successful candidate will be happy to lend a hand wherever needed and contribute to the wider team effort. No two days are the same, so a positive attitude and a willingness to tackle a variety of tasks are essential.

Key responsibilities

Answering phone calls

Dealing with client’s enquiries by email or phone in a polite, professional and timely manner

Raising and typing client account form and issuing to the relevant staff.

Client database Input

Arranging estimates

Applying for parking dispensations

Diarising for all staff

Distributing uniform, stock taking and ordering at competitive prices.

Making after sales calls on completed one off work

Typing of risk assessment/method statements

Typing Quotes

Filing, photocopying and other general clerical tasks

First aid ordering and stock monitoring

New/Lost Client Database updating and distribution

Stock takes (typing and sent to accountant)

Bulk List updating and distribution (monthly)

Client Sundry budget spend database updating and issuing

Database analysis & report for Advertising/Estimator take up

Raising and typing of renewals contracts

General cleaning of office and staff areas.

About you / key skills

You will have GCSE’s C or above in at least three subjects including English and Maths,
You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills,
You will be reliable and hard-working and have great attention to detail,
You will be to work well as part of your team and on your own initiative,
It would be advantageous if you have any work experience
You will have strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task
You will have proficiency in MS Office

Job Type: Apprenticeship

Pay: £11.00-£14.00 per hour

Experience:

Administrative: 1 year (preferred)

Work Location: In person
