Registered Manager - Residential Care Home (Full Time)

Dystlegh Grange provides high quality accommodation and care for older people. We are rated as an “Outstanding” Residential Care Home by the CQC, who respect the culture and ethos that has developed and has been brought to life at Dystlegh Grange over many years. We do things differently here.

We are always looking to continuously improve and an are therefore looking for an exceptional Care Home Registered Manager to join our senior leadership team. The successful candidate will share our values and ethos, which is to support a person who has chosen to live at Dystlegh Grange to create his or her ‘own home’ in an individual suite, within a neighbourly community, enjoying the peace of mind, personal control and confidence that this brings. This is done by:

Creating an attractive and positive lifestyle where each person feels at home in their own suite
Assisting a person sensitively and reassuringly should skilled care and support needs arise.
Nurturing a warm, welcoming environment where friendly relationships naturally flourish
Respecting individuality
Supporting a person in achieving his or her own level of independence

The successful candidate will work closely alongside our Principal & Senior Care Managers, and will have a specific responsibility to:

Champion the ‘own home’ ethos and nurture our neighbourly culture
Develop & maintain effective working relationships with other Managers.
Uphold our open, inclusive leadership style
Lead and be responsible for compliance matters, demonstrating a sound understanding of the prevailing regulatory standards & maintaining our ‘outstanding’ rating.
Have oversight of operational matters including HR and staffing, and daily monitoring with essential support, (e.g. individual care plans, medication administration, NEWS2, observations, G.P. and hospital contacts).

In addition, alongside the existing leadership team, the candidate will significantly contribute to:

Development and communication of strategic plans for promoting Dystlegh Grange.
Overseeing the implementation of Dystlegh Grange policies and procedures
Creating and role modelling the conditions to evolve daily awareness in countering institutional, gravitational forces

POSITION

This is a full-time position.
Salary is negotiable - to be agreed, depending on experience.
A DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) Certificate will be required.

LOCATION

We are situated in the village of Disley, near Lyme Park, (Stockport, SK12 2JL), in the Cheshire/High Peak area.
