Job Summary
We are seeking a 18 - 20 year old, friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages. This role involves preparing a variety of drinks, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all customers. The position offers an opportunity to develop barista skills within a dynamic café setting, contributing to a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, in accordance with company standards.
Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed during food preparation and service.
Operate coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and other equipment efficiently and safely.
Take customer orders accurately and process transactions using the point-of-sale system.
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts.
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during busy periods.
Provide friendly and attentive service to create a welcoming atmosphere for customers.
Manage time effectively during peak hours to serve customers promptly without compromising quality.

Experience

Previous barista experience is essential.
Knowledge of food safety standards relevant to café operations is desirable.
Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is advantageous.
Basic food preparation skills are beneficial for assisting with light food items when required.
Good basic maths skills are necessary for handling cash transactions accurately.
Strong time management abilities are essential to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods. This role offers an engaging environment where you can enhance your barista expertise while contributing to an enjoyable customer experience.
