Full job description

Certainly Wood supplies quality kiln-dried firewood, kindling and fuel products across three Shopify websites. We're a small, friendly business and we're looking for an organised, proactive Marketing & Administration Assistant to help keep day-to-day operations running smoothly while supporting our marketing across social media and our websites.

This is a varied, hands-on role combining office administration with marketing support. You'll be the first point of contact for customers, keep our records and orders in good order, and help bring our brand to life - reporting to our E-commerce Manager. It's a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, likes to get stuck in, and wants to grow their skills across both marketing and business administration.

What You'll Be Doing

Marketing

Update and maintain content across our three Shopify websites, including product listings, pricing, seasonal offers and news, keeping information consistent between sites.
Plan, create and schedule content for social media channels (Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn), including photos and short videos of products, deliveries and behind-the-scenes activity.
Write and send customer email newsletters and promotional campaigns.
Support seasonal marketing campaigns from planning through to delivery.
Monitor and respond to reviews and enquiries.
Assist with product listings across our ecommerce websites and any marketplace platforms (e.g. Amazon, eBay), keeping descriptions, images and pricing accurate and up to date.
Help track and compare basic performance across the three websites (e.g. orders, enquiries, traffic) and flag anything that needs attention.
Help coordinate local advertising, print materials, flyers and attendance at events.
Keep track of basic marketing performance (e.g. social media engagement, website enquiries) and report back on what's working.

Administration

Answer incoming calls and emails, dealing with customer enquiries, orders and general queries promptly and courteously.
Process customer orders and payments.
Maintain accurate customer and order records in the company system/CRM, keeping data consistent across the different websites.
Support delivery scheduling, liaising with drivers and customers to confirm dates and resolve issues.
Support the wider team with ad hoc administrative tasks as the business requires.

What We're Looking For

Essential

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a friendly, professional telephone manner.
Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable learning new systems.
Practical experience using social media platforms.
Well organised, with good attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to get involved across different areas of the business.
Able to work reliably from the office on a full-time basis.

Desirable

Experience using Shopify, or a similar ecommerce platform, to manage products, orders and content.
Experience with design tools such as Canva.
Experience with marketplace platforms (e.g. Amazon, eBay).
Basic understanding of SEO and website analytics (e.g. Google Analytics).
Previous experience in a marketing, customer service or administrative role.
